LOVE Island’s Finn Tapp said he raced to Paige in a six-hour scramble to isolate with her and has been living out of a suitcase since.

The reality show winner, 22, jumped in his car the day after Prime Minister Boris Johnson put the country in lockdown due to the spreading coronavirus pandemic on March 23.

Finn has launched his own YouTube channel

The couple were forced apart when Paige moved back to her West Lothian home, while Finn was 400 miles away in Milton Keynes.

So that they weren’t separated, Finn made a six hour drive to meet Paige at her home.

Finn explained the situation on his new YouTube channel, telling fans: “So I made the six hour drive up to Scotland. It was almost a given that something like this isolation period was going to happen.

“So I made the decision to drive up to Scotland so that if it happened, I could be isolating with Paige. So I wanted to isolate with Paige – obviously we are quite used to it being isolated in the villa in South Africa at the start of the year, though obviously I don’t have the pool or the views here.

“It’s great to be with Paige. Obviously we’re so used to it so it would be quite difficult to be away from each other for so long. And I think she likes that I’m here. I hope that she’s happy.”

The pair have been loved up ever since they moved in together

Paige revealed he made the journey on her Instagram the day he arrived.

Sharing a sweet video of the pair cuddled up together, Paige said: “The reason I have done a disappearing act the last couple of days… I was catching up with this stranger.

“P.S He drove six hours to Scotland to isolate with me.”

The loved up couple were recently locked in talks about plans to move to Manchester together or head to Finn’s hometown of MK.

Finn and Paige won the first Winter Love Island

The proud Scot never thought she’d up sticks and move down south, but after falling for footballer Finn on the ITV2 show she knows she has to compromise.

But coronavirus has delayed any movement on where they’ll settle.

Instead Finn has moved in with Paige and her parents for the three-week quarantine.
