LAURA Whitmore has refuted claims she tried to humiliate Remi on Love Island Aftersun this week – insisting he was more than prepped for the interview.

Remi, 22, appeared on the show after he was dumped from the villa and viewers were quick to question if he was ok as he seemed to struggle during the chat, particularly when he was asked to rap.

Some even hit out at presenter Laura, 37, and insisted she could’ve handled the situation better.

One concerned viewer wrote: “Hope #LoveIsland supports Remi He looked broken on #Loveislandaftersun Asking him to rap was done in bad faith and to humiliate. I thought @thewhitmore & crew were supposed to “BE KIND””

Laura quickly hit back writing: “Remi is a rapper and asked in good faith in advance if he’d rap and prepare something which he did.

“Live Telly is nerve wrecking, believe me, so maybe he was a bit nervous but he deserved to have his time.”

Shortly after the interview aired, viewers rushed to comment on it and question the decision to ask him to rap.

One person said: “They did him so wrong, it’s hard to watch.”

Another added: “I’m not sure why he was asked to rap on the spot when he looked like he was about to cry and was only responding with one word answers.”

After the interview Laura told the studio audience: “Oh my god everything in me wanted to just give him a hug.”

Remi shook up the villa by making his move on Indiyah when he arrived with fellow bombshell Jay Younger last week, but she chose to stay with Ikenna instead.
