She was in the middle of presenting Love Island, after standing in for Caroline, and was forced to continue following the tragic news.

Since the show wrapped she has been enjoying a luxurious break in South Africa with her boyfriend Iain Stirling and its given her time to reflect.

On Wednesday she shared a quote from artist Harpreet M Daya, which read: “Allow your heart to heal. Embrace the healing just as you embrace the pain.”

During their trip Laura and Iain have been staying at a 1.5k a night winery and have spent time on a safari, as well as soaking up the sun by the pool.
