HE may have been unlucky in the Love Island villa, but Luke Mabbott had the last laugh when he met his “dream girlfriend” Lucie Donlan in lockdown.

Despite both finding fame on the hit ITV2 show, Luke and Lucie says it’s fate they found each other – and now they couldn’t be happier.

Luke Mabbott has fallen head over heels for Love Island star Lucie Donlan

In an exclusive interview with HOAR as he releases his official 2021 calendar, Luke even admits the couple haven’t had an argument since their first date seven months ago.

“It feels like we have been together for years,” said Luke.

“Lockdown fast-forwarded our relationship, but it made us stronger.

“We got to spend more time together and quickly found we have the same interests. We both love activities and are a bit wild.

They share a passion for adventure

“It’s good to have a relationship where we do stuff together, rather than always doing separate stuff.

“We haven’t argued once since we’ve been together.”

In May, the Winter Love Island star split with Demi Jones after leaving the villa together.

Demi, 22, revealed how social distancing and the 312 miles between her Portsmouth home and the Justin Bieber look-a-like’s pad in Redcar, North Yorkshire, played its part.

But she later posted a video suggesting Lucie was the real reason behind their split – saying she “put two and two together”.

It led to an almighty row between Demi and Luke, as he claimed she begged him to fake their relationship for the sake of a clothing deal.

But insisting it’s all water under the bridge, Luke added: “We’ve all moved on, we’ve all moved on with our own lives.

“There are bigger things to be worried about.”

He added: “I owe a lot to Love Island. It’s given me my dream girlfriend I’ve wanted for ages. We’re definitely soulmates.

“It’s weird how it all works out. It was an amazing experience. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

“It was once in a lifetime experience – you don’t get many opportunities like that.

“It’s awful it’s been cancelled this summer, I was lucky the winter series went on.”

Luke and Lucie have spent the summer travelling to dream locations – including the Maldives.

But they’re now planning a quiet Christmas and New Year with Lucie after she moved into his home.

Fans can expect to see more gushing posts on social media as they look forward to 2021 together.

“I don’t get embarrassed about doing that,” laughed Luke.

“People have their opinions, but nothing phases me. Why wouldn’t I post about her? I’m punching!”
