LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins suffered an embarrassing makeup fail as she headed out for a shopping trip.

The stunning brunette, who is used to turning heads on and off screen, had a rather orange complexion as she picked up some essentials at Tesco.

Despite her Ann Summers model status, Maura suffered the foundation blending mishap which has happened to many an average woman.

Dressed down in white trainers, black jeans and a matching checked shirt, there was a noticeable difference in colour as Maura placed her paler hand against her face.

The Love Island favourite was joined by her celebrity hairdresser pal Jay Birmingham as the pair attempted to avoid the rain.

Battling the unpredictable weather, the friends were forced to shelter from the showers under an umbrella in the Essex car park.

The 29-year-old recently reunited with her Love Island co-stars Michael Griffiths and Jordan Hames as they tucked into boxes of chicken, rice, bread and spicy sauces from local celeb hangout Sheesh.

Chris Taylor and Danny Williams joined the pair and the group admired their takeaway lunch on Instagram after spending months self isolating in lockdown.

Maura and Michael sat next to each other outside as they enjoyed catching up over food.

The meetup left fans convinced that Maura is having a “secret romance” with Michael, with one saying: “I never noticed it before, bit Maura and Michael would make such a cute couple. They look very close!”, the Mirror reported.

Another added: “Oh there is 100% something going on between them. Amber Gill will be fuming!”

Someone else said: “Maura and Michael are so getting together. Couldn’t be anymore obvious!”

Their exes Amber Gill – who went on to win the show – and Curtis were notably absent from the Love Island reunion lunch.
