LOVE Island’s Ollie Williams faced backlash from upset fans after he posed with a dead deer having taken part in a cull.
The 24-year-old Viscount-in-waiting had a short but controversial stint in the winter Love Island villa earlier this year, with viewers furious to learn that he is a big game hunter.
Ollie left the reality series just days after the launch after realising that he was still in love with his ex, and has kept a low profile ever since.
However, he reignited the outrage earlier today as he shared photos of himself alongside a slain animal with his 60,000 followers.
The defiant star said that he was refusing to “shy away from sharing his passion” any longer after he posted the gory images.
The first of two pics shows Ollie holding onto a dead deer’s antlers with a stern look on his face, posing in the middle of an empty field.
The second photo shows the reality star dragging the animal’s body through the grass by its hind legs.
Ollie captioned the shocking post: “A great evening’s stalking with the legend Tom @dartmoor_deer_services …
“Chuffed to have got my first fallow buck as well as taking a Roebuck in poor condition that was good for the cull. Hats available to buy @cornishsportingagency”
He also shared it to his Intagram Story, adding: “Not shying away from posting about my passion anymore.”
Ollie’s followers were horrified, with several flocking to the comment section to reveal that they’d be unfollowing his account as they slammed his actions.
One wrote: “How cruel, that is nature you’re just taking it away.”
Another agreed: “Sickening.”
A third gasped: “Bro, what the f**k? Bye!”
One more asked: “How could you just kill something so majestic?”
His Love Island co-star Shaughna Phillips even shared her reaction, commenting a string of shocked face emojis.
In January, HOAR Online revealed that Ollie is a big game hunter – with Love Island bosses refusing to axe him from the line-up at the time despite a 40,000 strong petition and Ofcom complaints from enraged fans.
Ollie had proudly shared pictures of himself posing with dead animals that he’d slain.
However, a source close to Ollie claimed at the time that it was conservation work and that he had been “culling sick animals”.
