LOVE Island star Samie Elishi has hit back at trolls who have accused her of faking her romance with Tom Clare.

The pair called it quits this week after struggling to make their relationship work on the outside.

But Samie faced fresh trolling when an unearthed video spread online of her talking about getting “exposure” on the show.

It led to the model being criticised for faking romance in the villa before splitting two months after leaving the show.

Samie broke down in tears in a new YouTube video as she discussed her week from hell, which included breaking up with Tom and finding a lump in her neck.

Samie said: “There’s been a few comments saying I went on Love Island for fame… like, whatever.

“That clip of me from that podcast – if it wasn’t clipped how it was clipped – was me saying I went on for the experience, not exposure.

“In my eyes that’s what it is about, Love Island is an amazing experience.

“Coming from someone who has been single for so long and is so picky, yes I said to my family and friends ‘I’m not going to find anyone, I know I’m not’.

“But I thought, why not go on for the experience? Learn more about myself and meet some friends for life. I didn’t think I’d ever fall in love.

“It was a bonus that I did. This isn’t how I wanted it to turn out.

“I thought that was it, I thought I was set and me and Tom were going to live happily ever after, but life happens.”

Tom and Samie placed third on the hit-ITV dating programme behind winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan and runners-up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.

Non-league footballer Tom, 23, broke the news about their break-up amid Samie discovering she’s at risk of thyroid cancer.

She felt busy footballer Tom wouldn’t have time for her – so called it quits
