LOVE Island’s Sophie Piper and Connor Durman headed out on their first date after fans cringed at their “awkward” Aftersun reunion.
The pair smiled as they left Westfield in Stratford, East London, following their trip to the cinema.
Connor acted like a gentleman and carried her bags to their car, before holding her hand.
Sophie wore a glittery grey minidress, while Connor opted for a mint green two-piece tracksuit.
After the shopping and cinema trip, they both went to hang out with some of Connor’s mates.
This happened directly after their interview on Aftersun – they were wearing the same clothes – which viewers slammed as “awkward”.
The pair awkwardly kissed on the cheek as they were reunited a week after thecoffee bean salesman took a swipe at his girl for staying in the villa when he got the boot.
They giggled their way through the interview with Laura Whitmore on Aftersun and were very touchy-feely but fans of the show weren’t convinced.
“That was so cringe!” one tweeted.
“Other than the obvious something is very off about Sophieand teeth,” another added.
But the pair seem determined to stay together, and Sophie asked him: “Are you gonna take me on a date?”
“I am,” he answered, but revealed he still doesn’t have her phone number.
Sophie stayed on the dating show and said she was open to get to know new Islanders – even enjoying dates with Wallace and Luke M.
She was dumped along with Wallace Wilson during Sunday’s show after the pair were voted out by their fellow Islanders.
Fans slammed their relationship while in the villa, labelling Connor “controlling” for a series of behaviours.
He stormed off during a chat with Sophie after she cheered Connagh and Finn arriving into the villa.
Connor also snapped at the girls, saying: “F***ing hell, chill out girls.
“We didn’t go that mad when one bird came in.”
Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend accused Connor of racism after telling her “you dating black boys makes me feel sick”.
The coffee bean salesman fired off the offensive WhatsApp texts to Stevie-Leigh Pich after she told him she had slept with someone after they had broken up.
This is despite him pursuing a relationship with Sophie, who is mixed race.
A friend of Stevie said: Its disgusting that he can send messages like that given who he’s paired up with on the show.
He kept telling Stevie that it made him sick that shed seen the guy and was really nasty.
I hope Sophie will think twice when she finds out what hes been saying. Its vile language to use.
