LOVE Island’s Tyrique Hyde, who is the son of famous footballer Micah Hyde, has revealed what gives him the ‘ick’ when it comes to dating.

Tyrique, who has followed in his father’s footsteps and is a semi-pro player himself, says that he can’t stand name-droppers.

“I don’t really like when you’re talking to a girl and she’s just name-dropping it in two seconds,” he told us.

“Just keep dropping people’s names in for no reason. I don’t really like that either, but other than that, I’m quite understanding like I said.”

Tyrique is the best friend of Toby Aromolaran, who was on the show last year.

He said that Toby, who was coupled up with Chloe Burrows, gave him some tips ahead of the show.

“If you’re trying to be something you’re not just literally be yourself and people like you and you’ll smash it,” he said was the general advice from Toby.

“We didn’t really go into that much detail, you know, because I didn’t want to ruin that experience for myself. He had his experience.

“I have my experience, and I didn’t wanna go in there with expectations or anything like that to sort of go with the flow and just let it flow without actually knowing what’s actually going on.”

As well as being besties with Toby, he also played for the same team as Aaron Simpson.

Tyrique, admitted that he has been single his “whole life” and doesn’t have a type.

“I don’t really have a type, I appreciate a pretty face. I feel like pretty comes in all shapes sizes races, you know.

“So I don’t really like to discriminate when it comes to, like, preference of type, but just someone that’s confident and pretty, you know, Not really too much to ask for.”

Cheeky Tyrique admitted that if he finds the right person on the show, he wouldn’t rule out having sex in the shared bedroom.

Although, he’s slightly concerned about how his family will react to it.

“Sex is a bit of a sticky one because obviously, I’ve got a younger sister.

“She’s 14 and I’ve got a mum who they are avid Love Island fans, you know what I mean?

“They watch the show every night together, so it’s a bit of sticky one where I’m not really gonna be going in there just having sex every night sort of thing.

“But if I do find a connection, genuinely and like them, if it was right then I’m not against having sex just under the covers so they don’t see.”
