MAURA Higgins’ Strictly ex Giovanni Pernice has ‘serenaded’ Rose Ayling-Ellis after their shock split.
HOAR revealed the Love Island star, 30, and the Strictly pro dancer had split after four months of dating.
Giovanni, 31, did not appear to be drowning his sorrows after his split from Irish presenter Maura.
Instead, he took to the piano covered with stunning roses, to serenade EastEnders star Rose who is Strictly’s first deaf star.
As he tinkered away on the piano during the comedy skit, Rose looked bemused and said: “I’m deaf.”
In another clip on Instastories, the duo, who fans have hailed for their chemistry and have called the ‘perfect pair’, larked about on camera having a drink without using their hands to lift their glasses.
Their night of fun comes as Giovanni has broken up with Maura.
Their romance is said to have hit the rocks days after moving in together.
A source said: “It’s all over for now. Maura’s absolutely devastated, it appears the Strictly curse has struck again.
“Pals are hoping that they can patch things up. But only time will tell whether they’ll work things out as Giovanni is so busy.
“He’s been focusing on Strictly, training his celeb partner Rose 24/7, and they’ve become really good friends. He’s even been learning sign language from Rose, showing it off on social media.
“Maura’s decided to take a step back and let him concentrate on the show.”
A rep for Giovanni declined to comment on the split while reps for Maura did not respond.
