But many viewers accused the former Love Island star of using the opportunity to prove how hard she works after she was slammed earlier this year for “tone-deaf” comments about worth ethic.

During a meeting with PLT’s Marketing Director Nicki Capstick, Molly was told: “We’re on, it’s confirmed, we’re thinking week commencing 14 February, so we’ve not got a lot of time to turn this around.

“We need you to come up with some venue suggestions asap, so if you can get those over to me this week that will be great.

“Inspo-wise, any ideas around creative, it’s all on you, it’s representing your collection so you need to come up with the ideas around that.”

Molly was then seen telling the camera: “As creative director I’ve done events and parties with PLT before but I’ve never dealt with anything like this before, this is huge.”

As the video cut back to the meeting, Nicki added: “Hopefully we’ll be throwing an after party so we’ll need to think about which DJs, we’ll need to think about a performer, drinks lists, any appetisers and food, all that kind of stuff – again, all on you.”

Molly reflected on the meeting, saying: “I definitely feel slightly overwhelmed about how much there is to get organising and to get on with.”

One person wrote: “So obvious that the scene with her getting told loads of work was just for show to make it look like she does something.”

Another said: “As if she’d be working on event locations, food and alcohol lists – they have actual event managers who would run all of that.”

Someone else wrote: “It’s an awful attempt at staging Molly Mae’s ‘hard work’.”

And a fourth added: “It’s cringey to see that this is how she’s acting after the 24h comment. Like I feel like this is her trying to show us how ‘hard’ she works.”

Earlier this year Molly was subjected to huge backlash after comments on The Diary Of A CEO podcast in which she hit out at past criticism.

She said: “You’re given one life and it’s down to you what you do with it. You can literally go in any direction.

“When I’ve spoken about that in the past I have been slammed a little bit, with people saying ‘it’s easy for you to say that because you’ve not grown up in poverty, so for you to sit there and say we all have the same 24 hours in a day is not correct.’

“But, technically, what I’m saying is correct. We do.”
