SAM Thompson broke down in tears after reading a handwritten letter from Zara McDermott on Made In Chelsea.
The reality star, 28, dumped the Love Island beauty, 23, after finding out she cheated on him
On Monday’s Made In Chelsea, Sam was visited by his mate Reza Amiri-Garroussi who came with a letter from Zara.
Speaking about the break up, Reeza said: “Got to say though after meeting her, I did feel bad for her. She’s in a bad way.” he added: “It’s a s*** situation for everyone involved. But she really is upset. Legit.”
Sam then read out the letter from Zara, saying: “Dear Sam, since you’ve been away I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on a lot of things.
“I’ve reflected on my life and our life together and also the kind of life I want to live.
“Before I continue with some of the things I need to say, I just want to tell you again I am sorry with my whole entire heart for what I did.
“I’m so deeply ashamed of my actions and the way I hurt you. I was selfish, immature and stupid. There is no excuse.”
After reading the letter, Sam broke down in tears – but he still refused to take Zara back.
This is the latest effort by Zara to win Sam back following their break up after 16 months together.
Sam dumped the star when she confessed to cheating on him while competing on X Factor: Celebrity last year.
On Saturday, she confused fans by sharing a snap of her passionately kissing her ex on Instagram.
In the pic, Zara is wearing a white sleeveless top with matching bottoms, while Sam is donning a striped shirt with grey trousers.
She captioned the image: “I choose you. And I’ll choose you over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.”
The reality star didn’t tag Sam in the picture and he hasn’t made a comment about it.
Fans were confused about the situation, with one person asking: “What’s going on again”
Another asked: “PLEASE say you’re back together 
”
With a third saying: “Are they back together or do i have to wait to see on made in Chelsea?” with a fourth remarking: “Am I missing something? You didn’t choose him. You chose someone else and then lied for a long time about it.”
