LOVE Island’s stars are allowed to masturbate, voiceover man Iain Stirling has revealed – so long as they don’t do it in front of anyone else.

He explained that there are even a set of rules in place for the sex-starved Islanders.

The Love Island stars are given a set of rules to follow in the villa

The 31-year-old comedian told Vice: “I imagine they’re asked to follow the normal masturbation rules: not in front of people? Not in communal places?”

It comes after a former star of the show explained that the boys had been ordered to stop doing it in the shower and go to the toilet instead.

The toilets are the only place in the Love Island villa where there are no cameras filming.

Rumours swirled during the last series that the reason Sherif Lanre was kicked out of the villa because he’d broken masturbation rules.

The chef left after just nine days and sources said he had been spending long stretches in the showers.

However, Sherif later told The Sun the real reason for his departure was that he had accidentally kicked Molly-Mae Hague in the groin and called it a “c*** punt”.

Speaking in an interview today, Iain – who is the boyfriend of new host Laura Whitmore – also revealed the villa is “basically a booze-free zone”.

He added that the Islanders are given professional hair and make-up services so they don’t look “scruffy”.
