PROJECT managers and architect are top of the list of best jobs that are hiring – and they pay up to £71,000 a year, according to Glassdoor.

Product manager roles pay £60,221 per year, and have a satisfaction rating of 4.1 out of five, according to the jobs listing website.

In second place is a job as an “enterprise architect” which pays £71,392 on average and also has a job satisfaction rating of 4.0. This was by far the best paid job in the top 25.

The third best job role was as a dentist. This pays £55,500 but has a slightly lower job satisfaction of 4.0 out of five.

The job with the highest overall satisfaction was “full stack engineer”, which scored 4.5 out of five for satisfaction.

Ten of the 25 jobs are new this year, mostly tech roles such as: mobile engineer, cloud engineer and front end engineer. In fact, 12 out of the 25 top jobs were technology based.

It’s important to note that many of the jobs require qualifications so you might want to consider doing a course if you’re changing track.

The jobs were ranked according to three criteria: mean base salary, vacancies and job satisfaction.

Glassdoor, which carried out the research, carries millions of job listings as well as information about salary levels, employee reviews and job satisfaction scores.

1. Product Manager

  • Number of vacancies: 1,946
  • Job satisfaction rating: 4.1
