SHOPPERS hoping to keep the kids entertained this summer should have a browse online as a whole host of retailers have discounted outdoor toys.
Argos and Tesco are among the major retailers with online sales of up to 50 per cent off.
Of course, just because something is in the sale doesn’t mean it’s the best price – so use a comparison tool, such as Google Shopping, to check you’re really getting the lowest price.
Also remember to factor in home delivery costs. Most toy shops are banned from reopening until June 15 under lockdown rules, so free click and collect to stores isn’t an option for the vast majority.
Here’s our pick of some of the best.
Argos – Power Rangers Beast Blaster

Argos has slashed the price of Lego, Harry Potter and LOL Surprise toys in a huge online clearance sale.
If you have a dig around you’ll find some toys that are suitable for the garden too, including this Powers Rangers Beast Blaster, which is half price.
This is the joint cheapest price we could find for this toy online, with Amazon also selling it for £12 reduced from £24.
Delivery charges start from £3.95 at Argos or Argos concessions within Sainsbury’s supermarkets remain open for free click and collect deliveries – you can find your nearest store on the Argos website.
Amazon charges a heftier £4.49 delivery unless you spend more than £20 or have a Prime account where it’s free.
Debenhams – Professor Puzzle – Inflatable Giant Space Hopper

Debenhams has a handful of outdoor toys with up to 50 per cent off online.
It includes this fun, inflatable hippo space hopper reduced by 30 per cent to £7.
Other Professor Puzzle space hoppers cost around £15 to £30 online so this is a good deal.
We did find this orange space hopper on sale at The Works for a cheaper £5 but it doesn’t list the dimensions so it’s unclear how the two compare.
The Works charges £2.99 on orders under £20 (it’s free above this), while Debenhams charges £3.49 or it’s free on orders above £50. Click and collect isn’t currently available at either store.
Early Learning Centre Sensory Ball Pit

This mesh ball pit includes 20 balls, while the outside features ribbons for grasping onto.
Home delivery costs £4.99 or it’s free on orders over £39.99.
The Early Learning Centre currently has various online discounts on outdoor toys, so it’s worth having a browse if you’re after something in particular.
Other retailers are selling similar Early Learning Centre sensory ball pits for between £15 and £30.
Alternatively, Argos is selling a pop-up ball pit for £8, plus a bag of 100 balls for £6. This takes the total price to £14, plus you can get free click and collect delivery to an Argos concession in Sainsbury’s or home delivery starts from £3.95.
Tesco – Carousel Easy Up Pool 8Ft

Make a splash this summer with Tesco’s 8ft inflatable swimming pool.
The pool is currently reduced in Tesco’s up to 50 per cent off toy sale, although it has a smaller 20 per cent discount.
We couldn’t find the same Carousel-branded pool being sold elsewhere, but similar 8ft pools cost between £30 and £50 at the likes of Amazon, Argos, and Smyth’s.
Tesco’s toy sale also includes this popular bubble machine.
Just bear in mind Tesco usually sets a minimum order threshold and charges varying delivery fees depending on the time of day you select.
The Entertainer – Feber Activity House

Children can crawl inside this activity house or they can play on the outside with one side featuring a mini climbing wall and the other featuring an erasable whiteboard for drawing.
Even better, you can fold it away when it’s not in use.
It’s part of The Entertainer’s special offers on 162 outdoor toys.
We couldn’t find this being sold for any less elsewhere online. It also comes with free UK delivery, although it’s not available for click and collect.
