BURGER King has announced a whopper loyalty scheme that will see customers rewarded for eating at the chains 509 restaurants.

Customers will be able to collect and redeem points on over 20 of the chains most popular menu items.

The scheme will launch for all UK customers on July 26.

Dubbed “Your Burger King”, the new scheme will be available via the Burger King app, which is free to download.

Customers will collect 10 loyalty points – known as “Crowns” – for every £1 spent.

Points are credited to the app within 48 hours of making an eligible transaction.

Customers who sign up for for the new scheme will be instantly rewarded with 200 loyalty points – enough to claim a cheeseburger for free.

There are six redemption levels that’ll enable customers to redeem their points – 150, 250, 400, 600 and 800 points.

Points expire six months after they’re earned.

You can earn 150 points by spending £15. Redeeming 150 points will get you a:

Once you have earned enough points to redeem you’ll be able to generate a six-digit code on the Burger King app.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO at Burger King UK said: “We want to say thank you to our loyal customers across the country, for continuing to come back and enjoy the best of Burger King, the official Home of the Whopper.

Burger King’s scheme is introduced only months after McDonald’s launched it’s new scheme which gives customers a free Big Mac or nuggets.

McDonald’s customers collect 100 points for every £1 spent but they’re only able to redeem their points on 15 popular items.

KFC has its own scheme where you can download its app and collect stamps to earn free food.

You have to spend £3 to collect one stamp, or you’ll get two stamps if you spend £15 in a single transaction.

Once you rack up 11 stamps, you’ll find a reward in the “My Rewards” section of the app to claim.

Pizza Hut also has one, called Hut Rewards – you earn “slices” and cash these in for a reward.

You earn one slice for every £10 you spend – 10 slices will get you a free large pizza.
