DID you enjoy the Eat Out To Help Out scheme?
Although it formally ended this week, many restaurants and take-aways are still offering some fantastic deals for cut-price grub. Here are my favourites for a cheaper food fix…
Slice of the action: Pizza Hut will be doing two-for-one on main meals Monday to Wednesday until the end of September. The offer is only available for people who sign up at pizzahut.co.uk.
Wednesday Whopper: Burger King will be selling its fan favourite Whopper burger for just £1.99 every Wednesday in September. It is also offering two Whopper meals for £8.49 until the end of the year via its app.
A full-price Whopper meal is usually £6.49, or £4.49 if using the app. So that’s a 49p saving on the app price. I know they have more deals arriving soon, so I’ll be sure to let you know.
Voucher for it: Online marketplace Groupon.co.uk has launched its own version of the Eat Out To Help Out scheme for this month.
The site will fund up to 50 per cent off on food and drink deals (up to £10 per voucher) Monday to Wednesday — and it is offering 25 per cent off (up to £5) Thursday to Sunday.
Spoons fed: Wetherspoons is cutting prices by up to 48 per cent until November. The discounts will be available Monday to Wednesday until November 11 in all its pubs.
Bargains include its classic six-ounce beef burger meal for £3.99, down from £4.99. A traditional breakfast is £2.99, down from £3.49.
More to door: Deliveroo is knocking £5 off Monday to Wednesday this month on a £20 minimum spend.
You need a discount code dependent on the date. Codes are EATIN2 (September 7-9), EATIN3 September 14-16), EATIN4 (September 21-23), EATIN5 (September 28-30).
Little extra: Plenty of popular chains, including Harvester, Tesco Cafe and Toby Carvery, will also continue to cut prices from Mondays to Wednesdays.
