MASKS are already compulsory on public transport – and from Friday the same will apply when you are shopping.
As we all stock up on face coverings, here are my favourites for a fiver or less . . .
THE DISNEY ONE: You can now sport your favourite Disney characters on your mask. Pre-order your pack of four for £20 at shopdisney.co.uk. Your options include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses, Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar.
PRICE PER MASK: £5
THE TWO-PACK: For a cheap and cheerful reusable mask, the white, washable two-pack for £2.50 at direct.asda.com is great value. You can also get a two-pack for the same price at matalan.co.uk — there are various styles to choose from, for both adults and kids, but I like the printed ones.
PER MASK: £1.25
THE KIDS’ PACK: Gap.co.uk has a lovely selection of unisex children’s designs in three-packs — there are six to choose from, each costing £12.95. I like the purple floral and navy striped packs.
PER MASK: About £4.30
THE PERSONAL TOUCH: You will find a treasure trove of hand-made delights on etsy.com. There are endless super styles to choose from and this is the place to go if you want your mask to become your latest fashion accessory. I like the pretty fabric ones made by Elizimmy. They are £4.99 a pop and the beautiful styles remind me of Cath Kidston prints.
PER MASK: £4.99
THE DISPOSABLE ONE: Snap up a 50-pack at boots.com for £30. But do remember, disposable masks are single-use and so cannot be washed then used again.
PER MASK: 60p
