LAST time McDonald’s sold spicy nuggets they came under fire, with customers moaning that they weren’t spicy enough.
Now, they are back on the fast food chain’s menu – and Maccies promises they are their “spiciest ever” version.
I tried McDonalds’ new spicy McNuggets and they were spicier than I had anticipated
The spicy McNuggets come in boxes of six, nine and 20
HOAR decided to see if Maccies claims are true and put the new spicy nugs to the test.
I was really surprised as I didn’t expect them to pack as much of a punch as they did.
On first bite, they seemed relatively mild, but after a while the heat turned up a notch.
That said, they weren’t unbearably hot and I would find getting through a box of six doable.
However, it wasn’t just the heat that was a shock.
Firstly, they are more expensive than a normal box of nuggets.
The nuggets are available in boxes of six, nine and 20.
The box of six costs £4.39, the box of nine £4.79 and the box of 20 £6.09.

In comparison, normal non-spicy McNuggets are cheaper.
A box of six will set you back £3.99, a box of nine £4.19 and the share box of 20 is £5.09.
Prices do vary between McDonald’s restaurants, so it’s worth checking in your local area.
Also, the price has gone up since they first launched in 2019, when the average price for a box of six was £3.19, a box of nine £3.49 and a box of 20 £4.99.
Of course, McDonald’s has raised its prices. In July this year they revealed a host of hikes due to soaring inflation.
The six-pack box of spicy nuggets comes in at 254 calories and the six-pack box of normal nuggets 261 calories, so there’s not much separating them in that sense.
What else is new at McDonald’s?
The nuggets are included on the list of qualifying items in McDonald’s latest Monopoly Game, which launched on September 7.
They have arrived in restaurants alongside four other new items which launched today, September 7.
A new burger, mozzarella dippers and McFlurry’s have been added to the menu as well.
The new items will be available across McDonald’s 1,300 UK restaurants.
