McDonald’s fans have just days left to scoff limited edition Katsu curry chicken nuggets.

The snack and three other items, including the Big Tasty, are being taken off the menu by the fast food chain.

Maccies Katsu nugs start from £3.59

McDonald’s Katsu nuggets are a new take on the classic and much loved chicken McNuggets.

Instead of the traditional crispy coating, the chicken breast pieces are wrapped in curry panko breadcrumbs and also come with a sweet curry dip.

The newest McNuggets, which are available to buy in boxes of either six, nine or 20 and start from £3.59, were added to the McDonald’s menu at the start of the year.

But they are only available for a limited time of six weeks and that means they come to an end on Tuesday (February 9).

Fans of the Katsu nugs have pleaded with Maccies to make the dish a permanent addition.

The menu change also means that you won’t be able to buy three more items after this date: the Big Tasty, Big Tasty with bacon and the Galaxy salted caramel McFlurry.

But the menu change is not all bad news as there are a bunch of new items being added to the menu to replace them.

There will be six new items available from February 10 for six weeks, including the Grand Big Mac.

A regular Big Mac is made up of two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions and is sandwiched between a three-piece sesame seed bun.

The Grand Big Mac is the same but is a larger size and is priced at £4.39 for just the burger or from £5.79 as part of a meal,

There will also be the Grand Big Mac with Bacon, costing £4.79 for just the burger, or £6.19 for a medium meal.

Both burgers were last available in January 2020 and they are also joined by four other new and returning menu items.

Homestyle Crispy Chicken is the only new product and is made up of crispy chicken breast, hot and spicy mayo and caramelised onion compote, lettuce, bacon, red onions, and cheese.

They will cost £4.79, or £6.09 for a medium meal.

Mozzarella Dippers are back and the cheese sticks coated in breadcrumbs are served with a salsa dip.

You can get them as come in a sharing box of nine for £5.09, or three dippers for £1.89.

The last menu additions are McFlurry with Flake, and the McFlurry with Raspberry Flake, which will be available in regular and mini sizes, priced at £1.39 and 99p.

McDonald’s restaurants are currently closed for dine-in and walk-in takeaway.

But customers can still order for home delivery via Just Eat or Uber Eats, or through a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Just keep in mind that if you’re ordering food from Just Eat or Uber Eats, you’ll pay extra for delivery.

This usually varies depending on how far away from the restaurant you are and you’ll be told the price before you pay for your food.

You can find your nearest McDonald’s by using its restaurant locator tool.
