KEEN to keep cosy in the chilly winter lockdown?
Sales of comfy clothing — and especially slippers — soared by an astonishing 1,000 per cent in the past year as many of us worked from home due to the Covid restrictions.
And with another lockdown and cold weather taking hold, we will be buying even more warm and relaxing footwear.
Here are some ways to save as you snuggle.
DESIGNER DUPES: The Boo Fluffy Stripe slippers in black faux fur from ego.co.uk are a personal fave. Currently on sale for £9.99, down from £29.99, they are a great dupe for the UGG black Fluff Yeah slippers which are £100 from schuh.co.uk.
SCENT-SATIONAL: If you want to extend the life of pair, it might be worth considering some extra help. You can pick up RockDove slippers on amazon.co.uk. They come with anti-odour technology and cost around £18 per pair. But well done, M&S — a pair of its grey mule men’s slippers with Freshfeet help are just £9.50. Result.
TINY TOES: There are plenty of offers on kids’ slippers at the moment. I like the girls’ pink fluffy unicorn slipper boots from matalan.co.uk. They look super-warm and are a bargain at £3.50, reduced from £7. Also, children’s Spider-Man riptape slippers from M&S are pretty cool and are on sale for £9, reduced from £12. If you are organised, it might be worth buying these a size up in the sale now and adding them to the birthday present pile for a little one.
BIG SALE SAVINGS: The blush John Lewis quilted mule slippers are on sale for £13, down from £26 at johnlewis.com. I also love the Racoon slippers from bouxavenue.com for £8, reduced from £16.
