LIDL and Aldi are bidding to lure parents through their doors with rock-bottom prices on school uniform bundles, with both selling a full uniform for £4.

Lidl will be selling its school range from tomorrow, Thursday, August 6, and it is aimed at kids aged 4-12.

Lidl’s school uniform deal is £4

Parents will be able to pick up a sweatshirt in either red or navy for 50p, a two-pack of white or blue polo shirts for £1.75, and trousers, shorts or a skirt for £1.75.

That means if you buy one of each item, you’ll spend £4.

The deal is only available in stores, as Lidl doesn’t sell any of its products online, so you’ll need to head to your nearest branch.

Lidl is also selling cardigans, socks, shoes, tights and other school clothing from tomorrow

Meanwhile, having previously announced that its bundle would cost £4.50, Aldi has knocked another 50p off its similar deal to bring it to £4.

In Aldi you can buy a sweatshirt for 50p, a two-pack of polo shirts for £1.75 and a skirt or pair of trousers for £1.75 as part of a Specialbuy which starts online on Sunday.

You can find your nearest Aldi here.

As part of the Lidl promotion, you’ll also be able to pick-up boys and girls’ leather school shoes for £6.99, five-packs of socks for £1.99, and PE kit items such as sports shorts for £2.99.

Lidl’s back to school range will also include a Harry Potter lunch bag for £4.99, a Nike backpack for £19.99, as well stationery and workbooks.

Meanwhile, Aldi’s back to school range also includes shoes, socks, tights and other clothing items including pinafores and shirts.

These items will all be in stores for a limited time and once they’re gone, they’re gone; so don’t hang around if you’re hoping to snap up a bargain.

These deals are the cheapest school uniform bundle we’ve found on the market at the moment.

The next cheapest set costs £9.75 at Morrisons – £5.75 more – although here you get an extra jumper.

Lidl has announced plans to open 25 new stores across the UK this year creating 1,000 jobs.

The retailer recently beat Tesco and Aldi to win cheapest supermarket for a basket of 78 essential items.

Meanwhile, Lidl shoppers were furious when a sold-out £40 kayak appeared on eBay for TRIPLE the price.
