WITH Easter just around the corner, Morrisons shoppers will need to know when stores open over the bank holiday weekend.

To avoid missing out on last minute Easter egg shopping, it’s important you check in with your local store as branches are expected to reduce their opening hours.

Morrisons will open at reduced times over Easter

Here’s everything you need to know about when Morrisons will be open over the bank holiday weekend:

When does Morrisons open on Good Friday?

Morrisons’ core opening hours are typically 8am to 8pm for most of its stores.

The supermarket confirmed to the Sun that branches will operate at these normal hours on Good Friday.

Opening times vary depending on which store you visit, so it’s best to check ahead with your local branch for exact hours.

When does Morrisons open on Saturday and Easter Sunday?

Morrisons stores will also open from 8am to 8pm on Saturday – the day before Easter Sunday.

But you can check your local branch’s specific opening and closing times by using Morrisons store locator tool on its website.

The supermarket has confirmed that all stores will be shut on Easter Sunday so make sure you get your shop in before then.

When does Morrisons open on Easter Monday?

Morrisons stores will operate at slightly different times on Easter Monday, so don’t get caught out by the change in hours.

Stores will be open from 7am to 7pm but check your local branch’s times before you make the trip.

Is Morrisons delivering over the Easter weekend?

Morrisons is still operating home deliveries as normal over the Easter break but the current high demand means you might struggle to get a slot.

A limited number of slots are still available in the days leading up to Easter Sunday but this may vary depending on your local store.

The slots will be booked up on a first serve basis and could go fast due to high demand because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Alternatively, you can opt for click and collect at Morrisons for free.

You can pick up your order in store all day on Monday to Thursday, from 12pm to 4pm on Fridays and Sundays, and from 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays.

There are still slots available for click and collect services in some Morrisons branches in the lead up to Easter Sunday but these will also likely go fast.

But note that you will not be able to book a slot on Easter Sunday as stores will be closed.

We’ve asked Morrisons if the click and collect hours will change over Easter bank holiday and will update this page when we know more.

When are the Easter holidays this year?

This year the spring bank holiday weekend falls earlier than it did in 2020, in the first week of April.

Good Friday is on April 2 making Holy Saturday – which isn’t a bank holiday – April 3.

Easter Sunday falls on April 4 and bank holiday Easter Monday is April 5.

For schools in England, the Easter break starts on Thursday, April 1 and ends on Friday, April 16 this year.

In Wales, schools will be shut for the Easter holidays from Monday, March 29 until Friday, April 9.

To check the exact term dates for your school in Wales and England you can enter your postcode on gov.uk. Scotland has slightly different times too.
