BRITS are getting prepared to enjoy some time out in the sun over the August bank holiday.

But if you’re also preparing to take the time to overhaul your winter wardrobe, then it’s worth knowing what time Primark stores open.

What are the Primark opening times over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday?

Primark stores should be operating at normal trading hours on August 29.

It is possible though that some stores decided to change their opening hours to celebrate the August bank holiday too.

Primark indicated that it is best to access their Store Locator tool and search for the shop you are hoping to visit before heading out to the shops.

You can search for a store by entering the city location or your postcode.

Its flagship Oxford Street store in London is open from 8am-10pm.

All stores are subject to Sunday trading laws in England and Wales which mean they cannot remain open for more than six continual hours between 10 am and 6pm.

When are the bank holiday dates for 2022?

England and Wales are enjoying nine bank holiday days in 2022.

In 2021, the government announced that the Whitsun bank holiday, usually enjoyed on the last Monday in May, would be moved to Thursday, June 2, 2022.

An extra day was added on Friday, June 3, 2022, allowing for a four day celebration of Her Majesty’s historic milestone.

The first bank holiday celebrated in 2022 was on January 3, which was a substitute holiday for New Year’s Day which fell on a Saturday.

In April, the UK enjoyed a hot bank holiday weekend with Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Brits went into holiday mode again at the beginning of May, with the Early May Bank Holiday.

Then, they enjoyed a four-day nationwide party to celebrate The Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

You still have three more bank holidays to look forward to in 2022, which are:

  • August 29, 2022 – Summer Bank Holiday
  • December 26, 2022 – Boxing Day
  • December 27, 2022 – Christmas Day (Substitute Day)
