IT’S that time of year again and I’m dead excited by tonight’s return of I’m a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here.
Set in a Welsh castle instead of the Aussie jungle, it should still be great fun — and to get in the spirit, I’ve got my Welsh cakes ready.
Here’s how to really enjoy the show, on a budget . . .
Snack stash: Buy a six-pack of Tan Y Castell Welsh cakes for £1.20 at Sainsbury’s.
Or if you have time, make some yourself.
I found a recipe at groceries.asda.com.
You need 225g self-raising flour, half a teaspoon of mixed spices, 115g butter, 75g caster sugar, 75g sultanas, a pinch of salt and one egg.
Step 1: Sift flour with mixed spices and salt. Rub in butter until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Step 2: Stir in sugar and sultanas and a lightly beaten egg to make a dough.
Step 3: Roll out to 5mm thick and cut into 6cm rounds.
Step 4: Cook on a lightly greased griddle for three minutes on each side until golden. Sprinkle with caster sugar to serve.
Winter warmers: Since the campers have swapped the hot weather of Oz for wintry Wales, I’m sure they would love a cup of hot chocolate.
Enjoy a 500g tub of Cadbury hot chocolate from Morrisons for £2, which is reduced from £3.

Bushtucker trial: Take on a tastebud challenge with a game of Jelly Belly BeanBoozled.
Will you get a vomit- flavoured jelly bean or the taste of sweet peaches?
There are some gruesome flavours but it’s a great game suitable for the family.
Order a box from Amazon for £8.99, cheaper than paying £10.50 at John Lewis.

Camp out: Make your very own I’m A Celebrity camp at home.
Dig out your sleeping bags and blankets and make a camp on the sofa.
The kids will love it.
If you don’t have a sleeping bag, why not order one from decathlon.co.uk?
I found one for £9.99. It’s cheaper than a similar one sold at mountainwarehouse.com for £16.99.
