TESCO is making a huge change at hundreds of its stores and shoppers will be delighted.
The supermarket giant is expanding its Whoosh rapid delivery service to ferry groceries to customers’ doors within an hour.

It launched less than 18 months ago at Tesco’s Express store in Wolverhampton Willenhall.
But now the service is being expanded across more than 800 Tesco Express stores across the country.
Orders can be placed via Tesco’s app or on its website and there is a £2.99 delivery fee.
Make sure you double check the fee before you place an order because the cost could vary depending on your location.
If the basket is under £15, an additional charge of £2 is added to the order for not reach the retailer’s minimum order fee.
Delivery times can range between 30 minutes and an hour, and all orders must be placed at least an hour before the stores’ closing time.
Closing times vary across the country, so make sure you check your local Express stores’ website before you place an order.
If you have a Tesco Clubcard, you could benefit from using Whoosh to build up your points.
You get one point for each £1 spent online or in-store after scanning your card or app.
Several other major grocery retailers use delivery operators such as Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
Sainsbury’s, Iceland, Co-op, Asda, Londis, Waitrose and Nisa offer delivery through Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo, depending on where you live.
Prices of some items can vary when buying this way compared to shopping in store.
The cost of delivery can depend on where you are and what time you order, but you’ll generally pay a fee of a couple of pounds for delivery and around £1 for service.
Just remember to double check the delivery charge before you place an order if you’re thinking of using the service.
How to save money at Tesco
If you’re an avid Tesco shopper then it’s really worth getting a Tesco Clubcard.
Shoppers earn points each time they scan their Clubcard at the till or when they shop online.
With your Clubcard, you earn one point for every £1 spent at the retailer.
You also get one point for every £2 spent on fuel.
One point equals 1p, but you need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.
If you want to save on home delivery costs, there’s a monthly subscription service called Delivery Saver.
Those who are signed up will get all online deliveries over £40 delivered without charge, limited to one order per day.
But this subscription service isn’t free – memberships start at £2.49 a month for an anytime click and collect plan and up to £7.99 a month for an anytime delivery plan.
A membership is worth considering if your shopping online with Tesco on a regular basis.
Tesco stores also offer a scan as you shop service, which means you can scan items with a barcode scanner as you walk around the supermarket.
It’s a good way to help you track your spending as you walk around the store.
