VIRGIN Media broadband appears to have gone down with hundreds of people saying they can’t get online.

Outage tracker DownDetector is reporting complaints from just over 1,350 customers.

Virgin Media broadband appears to be down for some customers

Almost 80% of the complaints on DownDetector are about its broadband services, with the problems appearing to start just after 8am.

Customers are also complaining that they can’t get online on social media.

Some say they also can’t access the service page on the Virgin Media website where you can check for issues in your area.

Virgin Media has yet to confirm any issues and it’s unclear which areas are struggling to get online.

We’ve contacted the telecoms giant for more information and we’ll update this article when we know more.

DownDetector shows a spike in complaints from broadband customers

One person tweeted: “Broadband down, again! Even your Service Status page is broken WTF?”

Another said: “It’s annoying that not only am I having difficulties with my Virgin Media broadband this morning, but when I try to check the service status on your own website, it’s down too!”

A third customer said: “Hi what’s going on! My internet is completely down…are you having issues? Need to know as I’m working from home. Please can you respond urgently.”

A fourth said: “Is there a problem in my area? The fibre broadband is really slow and the Web page to check a fault won’t open.”
