Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds invited to Game of Thrones-themed New Year party on Caribbean island

BORIS Johnson and girlfriend Carrie Symonds have been invited to a Game of Thrones-themed bash for New Year.

The PM and his partner, who are taking a well-earned break on the private island of Mustique, are understood to be among those who have been asked to the annual party.

The party is taking place on the lawn of the Cotton House a luxury boutique on the island, and later the party will continue “north of the wall” at Basil’s bar for “revelry til the new dawn”.

It is not yet known if the couple will accept the invitation.

All those holidaying on the private Caribbean island have been sent invitations suggestions about what they might wear and where to hire suitable costumes.

Guests on the island have joked Boris go as Jaime ‘the Kingslayer’ Lannister, the blond warrior known for his battle hardened skills, and dubious love life.

While Carrie has been urged to go as dragon charmer Daenerys Targaryen, the breaker of chains.

The pair are currently staying in the 20,000 a week Oceanus villa

The accommodation is reported to have been a gift to the Prime Minister, while they paid for their own economy class flights.

It comes after it was revealed yesterday that she bought the PM a dirt bike for Christmas, despite the PM telling pals before the festive period that he wanted a new push bike .

Carrie, 31 opted to get him a Yamaha TTR 125, believed to be worth about 1,000 instead.

The 125cc vehicle is a versatile off-road bike that’s perfect for discovering the fun and freedom of trail riding.
Meanwhile, the PM will face down Brussels in post-Brexit by setting up a new Downing Street unit to spearhead negotiations.

Taskforce Europe will be headed by the Prime Minister’s chief Brexit negotiator David Frost and is intended to be operational by Brexit Day on January 31 with the PM drawing up the plans from his beach holiday.

The taskforce, which be based out of No.10, comes as new EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen questioned the negotiations timeframe and suggested there could be an extension to the Brexit transition period.
