DONALD Trump will visit London just DAYS before the general election on December 12.

The US President and his wife Melania will be in the UK for a Nato summit from December 2-4 less than two weeks before the national vote.

DING DON

Mr Trump will join leaders at a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

The President enjoyed a state visit in June – with his children dining at a banquet with the Royal Family.

But his forthcoming visit is sure to cause a stir in Westminster with the President previously vocally backing Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage but slamming Jeremy Corbyn.

Last month Mr Trump called on the pair to do an electoral deal adding that they would be an unstoppable force.

In an interview with Mr Farage on LBC, the President said: I have great relationships with many of the leaders, including Boris who’s a fantastic man – I think he’s the exact right guy for the times.

“I know that you and him will end up doing something that could be terrific – if you and he get together it’s [an] unstoppable force.

CORBYN BLASTED

However, Mr Trump was less than complimentary about Mr Corbyn and warned voters that the Labour boss would be a disaster at No10.

He said: Corbyn would be so bad for your country, he’d be so bad, he’d take you in such a bad way.

“He’d take you into such bad places. But your country has tremendous potential, it’s a great country.”

Mr Farage joined billionaire Mr Trump on the campaign trail in the 2016 Presidential election joining the then candidate at a rally in Mississippi.

However, despite publicly praised the Brexit Party boss it is unclear if the Donald will have time to return the favour.

The president has faced large-scale demonstrations on his two previous visits to London.

He has regularly expressed concern that many Nato members are not providing sufficient financial support for the military alliance.

A White House statement said: “Seventy years after its founding, Nato remains the most successful alliance in history, guaranteeing the security, prosperity, and freedom of its members.

“President Trump looks forward to meeting with the other Nato heads of state and government to review the alliance’s unprecedented progress on burden-sharing, including adding more than 100 billion dollars in new defence spending since 2016.

“The president will also emphasise the need for the Nato alliance to ensure its readiness for the threats of tomorrow, including those emanating from cyberspace, those affecting our critical infrastructure and telecommunications networks, and those posed by terrorism.”
