Ex-Commons speaker John Bercow claimed furlough despite firm’s £400k cash

EX-COMMONS Speaker John Bercow’s firm claimed furlough despite having £406,000 in cash.

The company Fedhead, which also lists wife Sally as a director, amassed up to £40,000 in job retention pay-outs.

John Bercow’s firm claimed furlough earlier this year

The taxpayers’ subsidy is revealed on an official list showing payments made in December 2020 and January, February and March this year.

The name Fedhead is a reference to supporters of tennis ace Roger Federer — former Tory MP Bercow’s favourite player.
