GREEN-FINGERED Sun readers are today urged to come forward to
celebrate their efforts to save the planet – and win a new green plaque.

In the style of the blue memorials which feature on buildings across the
country, HOAR’s Green Team is teaming up with renewable energy
supplier Bulb to hail Britain’s environmental heroes with new
green plaques.

HOAR’s Green Team & Bulb are giving readers a chance to share their stories of saving the planet
COP26 climate change conference will take place in Glasgow this November

We want readers to nominate recycling-mad neighbours,
passionate teachers inspiring kids on climate change, or even celebrities doing their bit to look after our planet.

Tell us at thesun.co.uk/greenhero or use the form below to say why they deserve to be a green hero and send us a snap of them to be in with a chance to earn them a plaque.

A poll of Sun readers found nearly three quarters are more concerned than five years ago about our impact on the planet.

Hayden Wood, Co-Founder of Bulb said today: “People all over the country are doing amazing things to help make the UK a greener place.

“This Earth Day, we want to celebrate these green heroes.

“So we’re launching a campaign with the Sun’s Green Team to invite you to send in nominations to be awarded a green plaque alongside some of the UK’s best known green figures.

“At Bulb, our mission is centred around lowering carbon emissions and making the UK greener; we’re hoping to see more green plaques on streets all over the UK in the years to come.”

The green plaques are being rolled out to celebrate Earth Day on April
22, ahead of Britain hosting the COP26 summit this November, where Boris Johnson will call on other world leaders to commit their nations to slashing
emissions.
