A minister embarrassingly had his internet connection cut during a live radio interview where he boasted about “vast improvements” to Britain’s broadband.
Matt Warman came on LBC this morning to hype up government achievements in making fast internet accessible to more Brits.

He said the government had “really unleashed” progress to “upgrade connections” across the UK.
A whopping £5 billion is being spent on Project Gigabit – a programme to bring lightning-fast internet to homes and businesses.
Around 70 per cent of households can access the super speed, a huge rise on the seven per cent availability recorded in 2019.
But the massive improvement wasn’t enough to keep Mr Warman connected to his radio interview.
When asked by presenter Nick Ferrari to respond to the tragic news of a death at Notting Hill Carnival over the long weekend, Mr Warman’s line went silent.
His live video feed into the LBC studio also froze.
Mr Ferrari joked: “This is handy as you’re the Broadband Minister – you can’t hear me can you? That is sensational, the picture is frozen.
“There we go, we’ve got the government banging on about however many billions of pounds it is (spent on) gigabits and he can’t take the question.”
The minister was unable to reconnect leading the interview about fast internet to draw to an embarrassingly early close.
