LABOUR MPs are furious with Jeremy Corbyn after it emerged he has bagged one of Parliament’s most sought-after offices that was vacated by one of the MPs ousted in his election drubbing.

They are furious because the office belonged to popular Labour veteran Vernon Coaker – one of the MPs who lost their seats in the demolition of the ‘Red Wall’ in the midlands and the north.

Jeremy Corbyn has managed to get one of the best offices in Parliament

One Labour MP blasted: “It’s added insult to injury because he’s jumping into the grave of one of the party’s last remaining great MPs – and Corbyn is the reason he’s gone.”

The office is viewed by MPs as one of the best on the estate because it is a penthouse suite overlooking Parliament Square.

Mr Corbyn has already began moving into the new office despite not stepping down as Labour leader until April 4.

The office is much bigger and better located than his current one, which is located at the edge of the Parliamentary estate.

It sits above the atrium of Parliament’s Portcullis House, the modern part of the estate where many MPs meet for lunch, coffee and meetings.

Mr Corbyn’s spokesperson declined to comment.
