Labour bosses have vowed to create a flood of new state boards to decide on nearly all areas of life including wages, the sale of land and the role of women.

Treasury Minister Rishi Sunak said: Jeremy Corbyns plan to set up over a hundred new quangos will hugely increase bureaucracy and waste in government.

He warned that Labours obsession with creating endless state bodies and watchdogs would mean less cash for hospitals and schools.

Mr Corbyn has vowed to increase the size of the state massively if he wins on Thursday.

Shadow Cabinet minister Jon Trickett said: The Tories have been caught lying about Labour policies time and time again in this election, and this is no exception.

Labour is committed to making government accountable and putting power in the hands of the people.

We are proud of our transformative manifesto and our ambitious plans to start implementing it in our first 100 days in government.
