LABOUR has accepted £1.5million from an eco-warrior who is also bankrolling Just Stop Oil.

Ecotricity boss Dale Vince also gave £20,000 to party leader Sir Keir Starmer and £10,000 to his deputy Angela Rayner.

Labour have accepted a cash injection of £1.5 million from a Just Stop Oil donor despite Starmer claiming not to be a fan of the group

Mr Vince has thrown his support behind the “good work” of Just Stop Oil’s climate change protesters.

Tories have demanded Labour hand back the money.

MP Brendan Clarke-Smith said: “It is outrageous that they are more than happy to take cash from Just Stop Oil funders who have caused havoc across the nation.”

Sir Keir has previously said he is “not a fan” of Just Stop Oil.

He added of Mr Vince: “He knows that nothing he donates to the Labour Party is going to affect my judgment on this.

“The fact he donates will not make a blind bit of difference to the tough line I take in relation to Just Stop Oil.”
