ANGELA Rayner has been blasted for her silence on the summer rail chaos threat – as her close links to the rail unions are revealed.
The Labour deputy leader is today accused of keeping a low profile on the pending travel misery which would cause misery for millions.
The party number two has put out 65 public comments on Boris Johnson and Partygate, 34 on the cost of living and nine on changes to the Ministerial code in recent days.
She even found time to post images of Homer Simpson falling into a hedge – as she mocked Tory chair Oliver Dowden – and promote her appearance on ITV daytime show Loose Women.
But she is yet to vent her anger to her 500,000 Twitter followers about threats of the biggest walkout since the 1926 General Strike.
The party deputy has close ties to the unions threatening industrial action over pay and conditions for their members.

She received two donations totalling £5,700 from the Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers union in the run-up to the 2017 general election.
Her ties with the Transport Salaried Staffs Association were revealed earlier this month when she was a guest speaker at their 125th anniversary dinner.
Her long-term close friend Sam Tarry was also the right-hand man to the General Secretary Manuel Cortes before he became an MP in 2019.
And back in 2018, Rayner faced huge criticism for backing a walk-out showing her “solidarity” with union members despite passengers fainting on overcrowded trains.
Tory MP Peter Bone: “People on the doorsteps are frustrated and angry at the threat of industrial action this summer by the rail unions.
“Labour appear silent on the matter not least the deputy leader who we haven’t heard a peep from despite being very vocal on a host of issues. I wonder why that is?”
Labour hit back: “Ministers cannot wash their hands. They must come clean on their cuts which are slashing services.”
