CONFIDENCE in the PM’s handling of the pandemic has sunk to an all-time low, leaked government polling says.

The secret survey also shows just one in three are sticking to social distancing rules — and Covid fear is rocketing.

Leaked government polling reveals that confidence in Boris Johnson’s handling of the pandemic has sunk to an all-time low

The findings say just ’26 per cent agree Government is putting in place the right measures to protect people — the lowest score to date’

The results will alarm No.10, which is considering another national lockdown within days.

Poll findings were shared with public sector bodies last week.

They reveal that just “26 per cent agree Government is putting in place the right measures to protect people — the lowest score to date”.

While just “20 per cent think the Government is doing enough to enforce lockdown measures”.

Anxiety is also growing, with 31 per cent saying they are very worried — up two points on last week.

Liam Byrne, Labour MP for Hodge Hill in Birmingham and their candidate to be West Midlands Mayor, took aim at the PM’s handling of the pandemic.

The survey also showed that anxiety over the virus is rocketing

He told HOAR: “A toxic combo of hazy plans and a lazy PM now mean Britain faces a winter of worry with a second wave of the virus triggering a tsunami of job losses.

“Frankly after the agony of the lives we’ve lost and the sacrifices made, we deserve a damn sight better than this.”
