PECKISH MPs and Commons staff spent over £122,000 on biscuits in three years, with KitKat top choice.
They scoffed £28,519 of the chocolate wafer treats, equivalent to 51,852 bars.
Second was Twix at £18,000, then Brontë biscuits (£10,965).
Double Belgium choc cookies were fourth with spend at Commons shops soaring from £796 in 2017/18 to £5,057 a year later and £4,110 last year.
A total of £7,700 was splurged on Caramel Wafers and £4,721 on Jaffa Cakes. Least popular were Biscottis (£3.92).
In all, MPs and other Commons workers tucked into 38 varieties from Oreos and orange Clubs to slimming Ryvita rye breads.
Former Labour deputy leader Tom Watson developed Type 2 diabetes after piling on 7st partly due to his love of biscuits.
But he has shed the weight after going on a health drive.
He has said: “If you gave me a chocolate Hobnob I’d eat the whole packet. I believe I’m a sugar addict and if I eat it again I will get ill.”
