The number of non-British-born UK workers has risen to a record 5.8million

The workers made up nearly half the growth in employment.

Experts said the rise shows that many immigrants are still moving to the UK to snap up jobs.

The rise showed that many immigrants found Britain as attractive as ever to come to for work, Migration Watch UK said.

In a boost for Boris Johnson, Britains jobs boom continued with the overall employment rate to a new record high of 76.5 per cent.

While unemployment was also down to just 3.5 per cent.

The unemployment rate remained at its lowest since 1974.

The total number in work climbed to just below 33 million.
