THE number of non-British-born UK workers has soared to a record 5.8million, new figures reveal.
It jumped by 39,000 in the last three months of 2019, the Office for National Statistics said.
The workers made up nearly half the growth in employment.
Experts said the rise shows that many immigrants are still moving to the UK to snap up jobs.

In a boost for Boris Johnson, Britains jobs boom continued with the overall employment rate to a new record high of 76.5 per cent.
While unemployment was also down to just 3.5 per cent.
The unemployment rate remained at its lowest since 1974.
The total number in work climbed to just below 33 million.
