BORIS Johnsons Conservatives are within touching distance of Labour in 26 seats, according to the elections most important poll.

The survey, released last night, shows that your vote could remove nine shadow ministers who would have a position in a Labour government.

Polling firm YouGov interviewed over 100,000 people between December 4 and December 10, and while their results show that the PM is on course for a 28-seat majority, it leaves a hung Parliament within the datas margin for error.

Last month, the same model predicted Boris would get a 68-seat majority. With Labour making gains, the Tories will need a final push to get them over the line.

The numbers show that in many areas, its the Brexit Party who are squeezing the Conservative vote. If Brexit Party voters in these constituencies backed the PM, the Tories would win in 24 of these knife-edge seats.
