Former Labour PMs Gordon Brown and Sir Tony Blair were next in the line-up, followed by Conservative former PM Sir John Major.

Truss’s premiership was so short, she never got to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph as Prime Minister.

It is the first time in modern history the UK has had seven living ex-PMs.
