SIR Keir Starmer has tested positive for Covid again – meaning he will miss his first bust-up with Boris Johnson of the new year.

Angela Rayner will step in at PMQs after the Labour leader was forced into isolation for the sixth time.

Sir Keir made a keynote speech in Birmingham yesterday in front of a live audience.

He does not have any symptoms and tested positive at home before making his way into Westminster this morning as part of his regime.

The Labour leader will isolate in his North London home for at least the next seven days.

His deputy Ms Rayner will also respond to the PM’s Covid statement this afternoon.

Sir Keir previously tested positive on the day of the Budget in late October, forcing him to pass the baton onto shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves.

And during the pandemic he’s had to spend weeks in isolation after being pinged.
