BORIS Johnson is set to deliver Brexit by Christmas with his party on course to win a thumping majority.

The exit poll had the Conservatives on 368 seats, smashing Jeremy Corbyns Labour on just 191.

With every single Tory candidate having signed up to the Prime Ministers deal, the Tories are finally set to smash through the gridlock in Parliament and get Brexit done.

Speaking last month, the PM said: As families sit down to carve up their turkeys this Christmas, I want them to enjoy their festive-season free from the seemingly unending Brexit box-set drama.

Mr Johnson has vowed to ram it through by Christmas, setting Britain on it’s way to leaving the EU.

He will start the Brexit process before the festive period, but all the issues won’t be sorted by Christmas Day.

Number 10 have said they want to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible, but admit some of the votes may have to take place next year.lab

Mr Johnson has said that after delivering Brexit on January 31, he is confident he will be able to complete talks for a new trade deal by the end of 2020.

It means Britain is finally on course for Brexit on January 31 1,316 days after the people voted for it.

Boris Johnson is heading back to Downing Street

Boris has run his campaign on the pledge to Get Brexit Done.

In his final election speech at the Copper Box arena in Stratford, East London, Mr Johnson repeated his pledge to deliver on the referendum.

The exit poll put Boris on for a huge majority

He said: It is understandable that the 17.4million people who voted to leave feel ignored.

In 2016 politicians said the referendum would be once in a generation. In 2017 they said they would respect the result.

But we have spent the last three years arguing about it. Rerunning arguments around Leave or Remain, rather than accepting there was a clear result and implementing the will of the people.
