BORIS Johnson has gone into self-isolation in the evening of Sunday, November 15.
The news comes after the sudden exit from Downing Street of the Prime Minister’s senior adviser Dominic Cummings and communications director Lee Cain.

He is expected to continue to make public statements from there.
Downing Street has said the Prime Minister will liaise with parliamentary authorities about remote participation in House of Commons proceedings.

The PM is self-isolating because he recently met Lee Anderson at Downing Street.
The Ashfield MP later tested positive for Covid-19 after losing his sense of taste.
This requires anyone who has come into contact with him to self-isolate in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.
On Sunday, November 15, the Prime Minister said he was notified by NHS Test and Trace that he must self-isolate.
“I have no symptoms, but am following the rules and will be working from No10 as I continue to lead the government’s pandemic response,” he said.
When did Boris Johnson meet Lee Anderson?
Boris Johnson met a group of MPs, including Lee Anderson, for about 35 minutes in the morning on Thursday, November 12.
They were pictured together inside Downing Street.
The two men seem to be less than 2 metres apart and neither is wearing a mask.

The advice is for Boris Johnson to self-isolate for 14 days.
A No 10 spokesperson said: “The prime minister will follow the rules and is self-isolating.
“He will carry on working from Downing Street, including on leading the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.”
How is Boris Johnson doing?
He is said to be doing “well” and, according to a No 10 spokesperson, he does not have any symptoms of Covid-19.
In the morning of Monday, November 16, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Mr Johnson told Times Radio that the PM is “absolutely fine”.
Mr Hancock said: “He’s self-isolating because he’s been in close contact with Lee Anderson.
“Mr Anderson has coronavirus, and I understand he’s OK.
“And the Prime Minister’s self-isolating because he’s been in close contact and you know these are the rules that we all live by now and the Prime Minister is following the rules, exactly the same as everybody else.”
When did Boris Johnson first contract coronavirus?
On March 3, Boris Johnson told a press conference: “I was at a hospital the other night where I think there were actually a few coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody, you’ll be pleased to know, and I continue to shake hands.”
The Prime Minister revealed he had contracted Covid-19 on March 27.
Downing Street said he noticed mild symptoms the previous afternoon and received the test results at midnight.
Mr Johnson published a video on Twitter, saying: “I’m working from home and self-isolating and that’s entirely the right thing to do.
“But, be in no doubt that I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technology to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus.”
On March 31 the PM tweeted an image of the first Cabinet meeting conducted entirely online.
In the evening of April 2, he came out of self-isolation for a brief appearance at the door of No 11 Downing Street to join in the mass clapping for key workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
He told those gathered outside: “I am not allowed out really, I am just standing here.”
The following day, he published a video urging people to adhere to coronavirus restrictions despite the nice weather.
On April 4, his then-pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds, 32, said she was “on the mend” after suffering coronavirus symptoms.
Downing Street says Mr Johnson has been admitted to a London NHS hospital for tests as a “precautionary step” as his coronavirus symptoms persisted on April 5.
The day after he was moved to St Thomas’ Hospital’s intensive care unit after his symptoms worsened.
He was moved from intensive care back to the ward at St Thomas’ on April 9.
Mr Johnson was discharged from hospital on April 10 and continued his recovery at Chequers.
Speaking in a video released shortly after he was discharged from hospital, Mr Johnson thanked the NHS – saying there was a 48-hour period when things “could have gone either way”.
On April 26 the PM returned to Downing Street after recovering from Covid-19 at his country home Chequers.
He is now in self-isolation once again after a meeting at Downing Street with Ashfield MP Lee Anderson.
