Who is Ben Wallace’s wife Liza?

Liza Cooke met Ben Wallace when she was working as a researcher in the Scottish Parliament, which her husband was a member of.

She also worked as a part-time parliamentary assistant in his office till April 30, 2019.

Not much information is known about Liza as she likes to keep her life away from the public eye.

However, from her work roles, it can be said that she shares a love for politics together with her husband.

This makes her great support for Ben Wallace when he is faced with obstacles in his career and his role as Defence Secretary.

Having both met while working in politics, and growing up in the field together, the couple decided to marry and have been raising a family happily together for a long time.

They have homes in both Lancashire and London.

Their London home is a must considering the important role that Wallace has in the government.

They got married in 2001, however, they didn’t share many details about their wedding.

They are living happily ever after though as 21 years later, they have a great family.

They have two sons and a daughter.

Who is Ben Wallace?

Ben Wallace was born on May 15, 1970, in Kent and went to the public school Millfield in Somerset.

He made part of the army when he trained as a cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and then joined the Scots Guards in 1991.

He was promoted to lieutenant, then captain, and was a member of the party sent to Paris to bring home the body of Princess Diana after her death on August 31, 1997.

In June 1998 he stepped down from active duty and entered the world of politics.

At first, he was a member of the Conservative Party in the Scottish Parliament in 1999 but then got elected as the MP for Lancaster and Wyre in 2005.

After the constituency was abolished in 2010, he gained the new seat of Wyre and Preston North.

He has served as a whip, the Northern Ireland Minister and is the UK’s longest serving Security Minister, from 2016 to 2019.

He supported Remain during the Brexit campaign.

Wallace became the Secretary of State for Defence on July 24, 2019.
