Here’s our tongue-in-cheek prediction of how it may go . . .

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey
The interview with the hit US host is expected to be watched by millions

OPRAH: Hi, pleased to finally meet you, Meghan.

MEGHAN: Oh Oprah, we met at my wedding, for just the second time, remember? Just like normal people do.

O: Of course, that’s right, and you were marrying your Prince Charming. Tell me, what was it that attracted you to the multi-millionaire, world-famous Prince Harry?

M: I guess, it was like, the chance to make a real difference. It’s really hard to help people unless you have the world’s media with you, right?

O: But what about Harry?

M: Oh right . . . I was in love! Am in love. Very much in love.

O: Well, that is just wonderful to hear. Shall we get Harry out here? He’s backstage, right?

M: There’s no need! Harry’s, like, such a feminist. He wants to amplify my voice. By not talking.

O: But he’s happy in America?

M: Oh God, yes. People don’t understand how hard it was for us in Britain. It’s exhausting to be showered with adoration, attention and money.

All I wanted to do was focus on my family, and my bespoke bathroom fittings, and the Press were like, ‘Should we be paying for that?’ It’s just totally cruel.

O: You had some problems with the rest of the Royal Family too?

M: (choking back tears) Harry’s family think that just because they paid for everything they should have some say over our lives.

And the servants! They want to quit just because you yell at them over a tiara — it’s not like Downton Abbey.

O: And why was it that you decided to settle in Los Angeles?

M: It was the chance to live a normal life. The most important thing to us is privacy. Here we can announce I’m pregnant via a candid image shared worldwide, and we can do that in a really normal way.

O: Well, I think it’s time to meet Harry. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Prince Harry!

M: Do your funny English voice, darling!

HARRY: Oh golly, gosh, all right then. How do you do, America!

M: OK that’s enough . . . now, when are you thinking about retiring, Oprah?
