BAKER THOMPSONS FIELD,BEHIND THE RATTLEBONE PUB,SHERSTON ,WILTSHIRE.RATTLEBONE PUB IS THE BUILDING WITH 3 SKYLIGHTS IN THE ROOF.

THIS is the “grassy field” where Prince Harry lost his virginity to a horse-loving older woman — behind the aptly named pub the Rattlebone Inn.

Sources close to the Duke of Sussex at the time confirmed the location to HOAR after Harry detailed the event in his memoir Spare.

This is the ‘grassy field’ where Prince Harry says he lost his virginity to an ‘older woman’

Harry says he was 16 when he had sex with the woman in her mid-20s

He described his al fresco romp in Sherston, Wilts, as a “quick ride, after which she smacked my rump and sent me off to graze”.

The pub’s landlord, who was not in charge at the time, said locals had told him how Harry and his brother William were frequent visitors to the 16th century boozer.

Our source said: “Both William and Harry had some wild nights in that pub and it’s definitely where the incident happened.

“I think she was mid-20s and he was still at school.”

The pub, located on the village high street, is an eight-minute drive from their father Charles’s Highgrove estate.

Its outdoor area features a model of a bare bottom in a thong which has been fixed to the wall — although this is not thought to be a reference to Harry.

In 2002 there were allegations the Duke, then aged 17, had engaged in a raucous drinking session and smoked cannabis in the pub’s outdoor area and had “lock-ins”.

There were even reports at the time that, during one drunken episode, Harry called the French chef a “f**king Frog” when he asked him to leave the pub.

He was eventually barred from the premises.

Writing in his book Spare, which will be published on Tuesday, Harry refers to losing his virginity, although does not say where.

He describes how former Royal Equerry Mark Dyer, 56, visited him at Eton in 2001 when he was a student.

He details how “Marko” was sent to “find out the truth” — which Harry thought referred to his outdoor romp.

Harry says: “I suspected he was referring to my recent loss of virginity. Inglorious episode, with an older woman.

“Among other things about it that were wrong: it happened in a grassy field behind a busy pub. Obviously someone had seen us.

“The truth, Marko? Marko said: ‘About whether or not you’re doing drugs, Harry.’”

The identity of Harry’s first sexual partner is unknown.

Just last month actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, 57, denied she had taken Harry’s virginity after rumours had begun to swirl.

In an interview with The Times, she said: “Not me. Not guilty. Ha. Absolutely not.”

Elsewhere in the book, Harry goes on to tell of his use of illegal drugs and admits taking cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms.

After an interview with a journalist he recalls how he and a friend smoked a “shopping bag full of weed.”
