TAKE a look into the £30million fortune Mike and Zara Tindall earned through brand deals – from Domino’s to Rolex.

The celebrity couple have amassed a huge net worth over the years, turning their hand to advertising, TV, public speaking and podcasting.

Zara Phillips is estimated to earn around £200,000 from the Land Rover brand

Zara’s brand deals

Experts believe Zara rakes in around £1.1million a year for her brand deals and ambassador work.

She teamed up with Land Rover in 2006 and became one of their official ambassadors.

Her royal connections undeniably strengthened the brand, with the late Queen herself known to own 30 of the motors herself.

The luxury company honoured Zara with the first set of keys to a Range Rover Evoque in 2011 and offered her a women’s scholarship for training in engineering.

Land Rover sponsor the royal horse rider each year at her competitions and it is estimated she earns around £200,000 from the brand.

She has also partnered up with Rolex, serving as an ambassador since 2006.

Not only is the 41-year-old gifted with high-end watches, that she frequently shows off at events, it was believed she made £100,000 for the deal.

Rolex proudly declares: “Zara became a Rolex Testimonee prior to winning individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in 2006 in Aachen.

“Her career highlights include team silver at the 2012 London Olympics and at the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014.

“She is proud to be part of Rolex’s longstanding support for equestrianism that spans more than 60 years and shares with the Swiss watchmaking brand a quest for perpetual excellence through precision and superior performance.”

If this wasn’t enough, the mum-of-three also became an ambassador for Magic Millions Polo and Show jumping in 2012.

The Managing Director of Influencer, PR and Branding agency, Edencancan, previously estimated Zara makes around £125,000 per year from this partnership.

Zara also worked with iCandy Prams, a horse video game named Howrse and the clothing brand Musto.

Musto is believed to have paid Zara £5000,000 for her deals with them.

Previously she had other deals with John Deere tractors, an ambassador role with Samsung and worked as a golf academy ‘cadet’ for Slingsby Gin.

Mike’s brand deals

And Mike has made a couple of his brand deals himself – but with slightly different names.

The rugby star bagged himself £300,000 for featuring in a Domino’s advert in 2022.

He joined a former rugby teammate and friend, James Haskell and delivered the pizzas after jumping out of a helicopter in James Bond fashion.

They play on his royal ties when he tells his mate he has “friends in high places”.

The dad-of-three also appeared in an Amazon Prime TV advert in the same year, again side by side with James Haskell.

Although he was paid less than the Domino’s ad, he still earned himself a whopping £150,000 for the short clip.

The 44-year-old has also been seen advertising CBD oil with the company Pueris.

His involvement saw him grow £50,000 richer, not including the commission from his sales.

Mike’s also enjoyed gigs as a brand ambassador including for the online exchange broker UFXMarkets and bookmakers Betway.

I’m A Celebrity

His time in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity last year reportedly earned him £150,000 too.

Sports presenter Alex Payne said that the ex-England rugby captain’s public speaking work had dried up during the pandemic.

This led Mike to consider going into the jungle purely for the pay check, according to sources.

Alex, 42, told HOAR, that Mike, 44, was not as well off as people would think — despite being married into the Royal Family through the King’s niece.

He said: “It’s not like he’s sitting there in a pile of money.

“He’s a guy who’s in the public eye and that’s where he earns his money.”

Mike also famously drank his own urine on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and was also on Channel 4’s The Jump.

He’s had TV stints playing poker with other celebrities and professionals, including on Shark Cage, Celebrity Poker Club and All-Star Poker Challenge.

Mike received £25,000 for winning the latter show, which he donated to Parkinson’s UK – a charity close to his heart after his father was diagnosed with the illness 20 years ago.

In addition to TV work, Mike has transitioned into the world of podcasting.

He’s been on two podcasts including The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, which he co-hosts with ex-England teammate James Haskill and presenter Alex Payne.

Public speaking

A lot of income is earned through Mike’s public speaking engagements.

As a respected sportsman with a 17-year rugby career and the 2003 World Cup under his belt, Mike remains a must-have speaker for fancy fine dining events.

Currently, his fees are listed as under £10,000 on the Gordon Poole Agency, which brokers some of his arrangements.

The 44-year-old also runs a company, Kimble Trading Ltd, which manages his speaking appearances as well as other business ventures.

It is thought that Mike earns 100,000 from the company, although he came under fire during the pandemic after it was revealed Kimble Trading had received furlough cash.

Despite being worth £15.7million and the fourth richest rugby player, according to a 2020 Ruck magazine report, the frugal star admits he “always worry about money”.

“I am very conscious about money, spending only what I have. That was always the way when I started professional rugby,” he told The Times.

Jewels

Zara also rakes in the cash with her jewellery collection, part of luxury brand Calleija.

Zara’s designs are still sold and it has reportedly earned her £80,000.

The Zara Phillips Collection by Calleija is equestrian themed – a ‘saddle ring’ she’s designed costs around £7,000.

It’s no surprise the brand has proved to be a money maker as Zara receives royalties from sales.

She said at the time: “Hopefully there’s no age limit for the women this collection is aimed at.

“I wanted the collection to be beautiful, wearable pieces that I can wear every day, that work from day to night.”

Smart investments

Mike has five companies registered under his name, which cover online stock trading, the gin market and his broadcasting work.

In 2010, he bought the racehorse Monbeg Dude with his friend Michael Scudamore while drunk at a charity auction for £12,000.

His wife branded him an “idiot” for buying a share in the animal due to his lack of knowledge on horses or racing.

However, three years later after a series of wins – including the Welsh Grand National – Monbeg Dude was estimated to be worth £200,000.

And it seemed like fate when Mike earned a whopping £105,500 after the horse came third in the 2015 Grand National – despite being an outsider with 40-1 odds.

Alongside co-stars from The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, he launched a gin brand Black Eye, which sells signed bottles for £60 and unsigned for £40.

Alongside paid work, Mike and Zara both engage in regularly charity work including for Sports Relief, Parkinson’s disease organisations and other humanitarian companies.
