Prince’s piffle

IS Prince Harry prepared to own ANY of his mistakes? Plainly not.

With breathtaking gall he now claims the media has increased his family’s risk from Islamist terror. What drivel.

Is Prince Harry prepared to own any of his mistakes? Plainly not

His own words did that, in his own book, rekindling old resentments over Afghanistan.

A prince, of unimaginable wealth, writing about gunning down 25 insurgents he “didn’t think of as people”, merely as “chess pieces” . . . “Bads taken away before they could kill Goods”.

That instinct is natural in war, but vanishingly few veterans publicly speak of it, or their exact kill-count.

To lay it out in such blunt detail, then be shocked at the backlash from the Taliban and his old Army commanders and friends, was typically naïve.

Blaming the media for reporting it is preposterous.

And to pretend the Press “chose” to endanger his family, or conspired with a “scared” Palace to trash his book, betrays total derangement about both us and the Royals.

Harry might have been properly grilled on all this had he not deliberately opted to be interviewed only by trusted pals or fawning US chat-show hosts.

The unvarnished truth is that Spare is a tawdry book which unwittingly exposes far more of its subject’s unpleasantness than he can ever have expected.

As a PR job it’s disastrous.

Harry even smears the British people as “the most credulous” on the planet.

Given his plummeting popularity, he must now wish we were MORE credulous about him and his tall tales.

Keep her out

WHAT is the liberal-Left fascination with terrorist Shamima Begum?

The BBC thinks a ten-part podcast on her revolting life with Islamic State is a wise use of licence-payers’ money. Why?

What is the Left’s fascination with terrorist Shamima Begum?

To prove she was just a happy-go-lucky teenager duped into a romantic escapade which went wrong?

To bolster her case to come home?

Begum was no victim. She meticulously planned her flit to Syria to join a fanatical army of fascist psychopaths already infamous for beheadings, gang rape and burning people alive.

She corresponded with them online. She cynically covered her tracks.

The Left feels warm and fuzzy imagining Britain forgiving this appalling woman.

But there have to be lasting consequences for what she did.

Exile, for one.

Crank party

THREE questions for Labour as Just Stop Oil vows to disrupt the King’s Coronation.

Are you still proud to have taken a fortune from the eco-tycoon bankrolling this doomsday cult?

Will you hand it back? Or will you risk voters drawing the obvious conclusion . . .

That a supposedly serious party shares a bed with anti-social cranks?
