ROYAL fans have praised Tom Cruise after he shared an intimate moment with Kate Middleton at last night’s Top Gun premiere.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge beamed as they brushed shoulders with Hollywood, having already attended a private screening of the film earlier this year.
Movie star Tom Cruise broke from usual protocol advising members of the public not to touch the Royal Family.
The Hollywood legend offered Kate a helping hand as she walked the red carpet in her dress and heels.
And Cruise was hailed a “perfect gentleman” after royal fans spotted the sweet moment between himself and the Duchess.
One tweeted: “Tom Cruise being a perfect gentleman tonight!! Kate just stunning”, while another said: “Tom Cruise is a true gentleman, the Duchess of Cambridge is stunning!”
Maverick, which has so far received rave reviews from critics, sees Hollywood star Cruise reprise the role of US naval aviator Pete Mitchell and is being released 36 years after the 1986 original.
